Reception

  • There will be a reception right down the hall from the sanctuary where the ceremony will be held. Super convenient! (Although, it might not look like a traditional wedding reception, see below.)
  • In keeping with a spirit of sharing and giving (as well as fiscal prudence), we are holding a potluck reception (perhaps picture a church potluck or family get-together where everyone pitches in). The idea is that we get to eat and share foods we love made by the people we love! No harm done if you can't; we still want to see you! If you can bring something, let us know, and we'll get in touch with you and talk about what to bring.
  • We will ensure that our menu will accommodate meat lover, lacto-ovo vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, low-salt, and gluten-free diets. If you have questions or allergies, please be in touch!
  • While we visit with our guests and the reception is set up, folks will be invited to head to the fellowship hall to enjoy snacks and music provided by our friends in Families. They're awesome! Once we're all ready, probably by 5:30pm, we'll eat dinner together and be happy.
  • Weather permitting, kids can play in the courtyard immediately outside the fellowship hall. Adults are also welcome to play outside. We won't judge.
  • (Please don't hold your breathe for a bouquet or garter toss or cake cutting, you might pass out, and if you want to eat your dessert first, fine with us, if appropriate, check with your parents first.)
